教宗主持世界窮人日彌撒:我們需要愛的勇氣,在窮人身上投資

今年第四屆世界窮人日於11月15日舉行,教宗方濟各在聖伯多祿大殿主持彌撒,指出基督徒不可只限於遵守規誡,卻不肯冒險為他人服務。在臨近聖誕節之際,我們該詢問自己能給予什麽,而非要為自己買什麽。

(梵蒂岡新聞網)教宗方濟各11月15日常年期第卅三主日上午在聖伯多祿大殿主持彌撒,當天也是第四屆世界窮人日,百餘位世界窮人的代表在場出席。教宗在彌撒講道中指出,基督徒不可謹小慎微,只限於遵守規誡,卻不肯冒險為他人服務。相反地,應像忠信的僕人那樣勇於冒險。

彌撒福音中記述了耶穌講的“塔冷通的比喻”,家主在遠行前將自己的財產託付給他的僕人,要他們用以賺取更多的利息(瑪廿五14-30)。教宗表示,這個比喻蘊含著一個使我們終生受用的訓誨。家主擁有一筆巨大的財產,他沒有為自己保留,而是按照僕人的能力交給他們。教宗說,“對我們來說,一切也都始於天主賜予的恩寵”,始於天主“放在我們手中的恩典”。

“我們是攜帶巨大財富的人,這不取決於我們擁有多少,而是因為我們的所是:我們領受了天主賜予的生命、祂在我們内注入了善以及不可磨滅的美,因為我們是祂的肖像,我們每個人在祂眼裡都是寶貴的,都是歷史上獨一無二和不可取代的!”

可是,“在我們注視自己生命時,經常只看到我們欠缺的部分。於是,我們就屈服於‘要是如此就好了’的誘惑:要是我有那份工作就好了,要是我有那座房子、有那些錢和成就就好了,要是我沒有那個問題、要是我周圍有更好的人就好了!”

教宗說,以這種方式思考,看不到我們自己擁有的善和天主賜予我們的恩典。天主信任我們,希望我們每個人善用所領受的恩典在當下行善,而非在毒害心靈且無益處的思念中將它失去,這種思念讓我們總是盯住他人,看不到上主留給我們運作的機會。

那讓塔冷通賺得利息的是“僕人的作為”,即“服務”。教宗解釋道,服務“賦予生命意義”,那麽,服務的形態是什麽?

 “在福音中,善僕是那些勇於冒險的人。他們不是小心翼翼和考慮周全的人,不把所領受的收藏起來,而是予以善用。因為善若不投資,就會失去;衡量我們生命的尺度不在於我們存放了多少,而是我們結出了多少果實。多少人一生只是積蓄,思念過好生活勝於行善。但追求所需卻不關注那些有需要的人,這種生活是多麼的空虛! 如果我們領受了恩典,就應贈送出去。”

在這個比喻中,僕人的忠信在於能夠勇於冒險,因為對天主的忠信意味著讓自己的生命因服務的需求而操勞。教宗繼續表示,“若基督徒把牌壓在防守上,只在遵守教規和誡命時才出擊,這很悲哀”。在基督徒的生活中,只是不犯錯還不夠,這種生活缺乏“主動性和創造性”。絲毫不作惡,卻將所領受的恩典埋藏起來,這還不夠,因為這行徑如同耶穌所斥責的可惡懶惰的僕人的所為。

比喻中的家主向不忠信的僕人解釋他本應如何行事,對他說,他該將領受的塔冷通交給錢莊裡的人,然後連本帶利取回交還給家主。我們在天主面前也該這樣做。那麽,對我們而言,誰是這些能獲得永久利息的“錢莊裡的人”呢?教宗指出,是窮人,我們不應忘記他們!

“窮人是福音的中心,若沒有窮人,我們就無法領會福音。窮人在耶穌身上體現出來,耶穌原是富有的,卻貶抑自己,成為貧困的,替我們成了罪,這最惡劣的貧窮。窮人給我們確保一種永恆的收益,並從此時起就已使我們在愛中變得富有。這是因為,需要對抗的最大貧窮是我們缺乏愛的貧窮。”

向窮人伸出援手,在愛中勤於行善,如同彌撒的第一篇讀經中所稱讚的那個婦人一樣(參閲:箴卅一10-13)。在臨近聖誕節之際,教宗談到這個慶節說,以往人們要問:“我能買什麽?我還能得到什麽?”現在我們應換成另一句話:“耶穌奉獻了自己,在馬槽中誕生,我能給予別人什麽,就像耶穌那樣?”

教宗最後總結道,不與他人分享的人乃是浪費了自己的一生,最終“變得貧窮”。“在生命結束時,真相將顯露出來:塵世以為成就、權力和金錢能賦予生命意義,這個虛幻將會消失,而我們所施予的愛將展現出它才是真正的財富。如果我們不想貧乏地度日,就該懇求在窮人身上看到耶穌,透過窮人服事耶穌的恩寵”。- Vatican News
