First reading Proverbs 8:22-31
Before the earth came into being, Wisdom was born
The Wisdom of God cries aloud:
Responsorial Psalm 8:4-9
How great is your name, O Lord our God, through all the earth!
When I see the heavens, the work of your hands,
the moon and the stars which you arranged,
what is man that you should keep him in mind,
mortal man that you care for him?
How great is your name, O Lord our God, through all the earth!
Yet you have made him little less than a god;
with glory and honour you crowned him,
gave him power over the works of your hand,
put all things under his feet.
How great is your name, O Lord our God, through all the earth!
All of them, sheep and cattle,
yes, even the savage beasts,
birds of the air, and fish
that make their way through the waters.
Second reading Romans 5:1-5
The love of God has been poured into our hearts
Gospel John 16:12-15
The Spirit of truth will lead you to the complete truth
Jesus said to his disciples:

The Trinity of love
Today, we celebrate the Solemnity of the Holy Trinity: God is one, but exists in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. They are never separated but always united, even though each is a distinct person. Eternally one and united, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit always work for the good of humanity. For many of us, the concept of the Holy Trinity can feel abstract, and we might approach it merely as a theological idea. However, as Christians, the Holy Trinity is not just an abstract concept, but a reality that should transform the way we live and love.
“…when the Spirit of truth comes, he will lead you to the complete truth…” (The Gospel). The Spirit of truth leads us to encounter the Trinitarian God as He truly is- a God who is living and active in our lives, loving, re-creating, sustaining, guiding and empowering us. God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit dwells in us and invites us to live with Him and live with one another in love. Today, let the Triune God shape our way of speaking, acting, responding, and loving so that we can be reflections of His love for those around us.
Reflective question:
Am I a reflection of the Trinity in the way I live and love?
