CTK choir singing Christmas carols

KUCHING — Christ The King OCDS community, together with their family members and friends, had their joyous and memorable Christmas Gathering on Dec 16 2023 at the Kuching Waterfront Hotel.
They were truly blessed and delighted with the presence of Archbishop Wojciech Załuski, the Apostolic Nuncio to Malaysia, and Archbishop of Kuching Simon Poh. Also present were the General Delegate of the Delegation of Singapore-Thailand-Malaysia, Fr Anselm Phang OCD, and the first Councillor of Delegation of Singapore-Thailand-Malaysia and Prior of Casa Theresia, Seremban, Fr Nicholas Hoh OCD.
Fr Galvin Ngumbang and Fr Mark Bonchol from St Joseph’s Parish, and a visiting priest from Indonesia, Fr Oktovianus were among the invited guests.
Organising Chairlady Datin Sri Annie Fong OCDS, welcomed all present. Before the delicious food was served, CTK choir sang two Christmas carols namely, “O Come O Ye Faithful” followed by, “We Three Kings” to welcome everyone.
While the singing was going on, an Angel and a Shepherd led the Three Kings to the stable to pay homage to the newborn King, Christ the Lord, with Mary and Joseph at the scene.
Archbishop Simon said grace before the meal.
There were eight lucky draws with free breakfast vouchers from the Waterfront Hotel. They were drawn by Fr Galvin and Fr Anselm respectively. Blessings went to those lucky persons who won the free vouchers.
The relaxing and fun-filled evening ended with a closing prayer and blessing by Fr Anselm. – Today’s Catholic
