First reading Hebrews 3:7-14

Keep encouraging one another

The Holy Spirit says: If only you would listen to him today; do not harden your hearts, as happened in the Rebellion, on the Day of Temptation in the wilderness, when your ancestors challenged me and tested me, though they had seen what I could do for forty years. That was why I was angry with that generation and said: How unreliable these people who refuse to grasp my ways! And so, in anger, I swore that not one would reach the place of rest I had for them. Take care, brothers, that there is not in any one of your community a wicked mind, so unbelieving as to turn away from the living God. Every day, as long as this ‘today’ lasts, keep encouraging one another so that none of you is hardened by the lure of sin, because we shall remain co-heirs with Christ only if we keep a grasp on our first confidence right to the end.

Responsorial Psalm 94(95):6-11

O that today you would listen to his voice! ‘Harden not your hearts.’

Come in; let us bow and bend low;

let us kneel before the God who made us:

for he is our God and we

the people who belong to his pasture,

the flock that is led by his hand.

O that today you would listen to his voice!

‘Harden not your hearts as at Meribah,

as on that day at Massah in the desert

when your fathers put me to the test;

when they tried me, though they saw my work.

For forty years I was wearied of these people

and I said: “Their hearts are astray,

these people do not know my ways.”

Then I took an oath in my anger:

“Never shall they enter my rest.”’

The leprosy left the man at once, and he was cured

A leper came to Jesus and pleaded on his knees: ‘If you want to’ he said ‘you can cure me.’ Feeling sorry for him, Jesus stretched out his hand and touched him. ‘Of course I want to!’ he said. ‘Be cured!’ And the leprosy left him at once and he was cured. Jesus immediately sent him away and sternly ordered him, ‘Mind you say nothing to anyone, but go and show yourself to the priest, and make the offering for your healing prescribed by Moses as evidence of your recovery.’ The man went away, but then started talking about it freely and telling the story everywhere, so that Jesus could no longer go openly into any town, but had to stay outside in places where nobody lived. Even so, people from all around would come to him.

Reflection
Hebrews 3:7-14; Mark 1:40-45

“Lord, if you want to…”
A leper, an outcast of the society due to his infectious disease, did an audacious and daring act of approaching Jesus and begging Him for healing. “If you want to”, the leper said to Jesus, “you can cure me.” He asked because he had faith that Jesus would heal him. Today, we are invited to approach Jesus with faith and to ask Him to heal our wounds of the past, remove the fears that paralyze us, touch the ugly parts in us that do not reflect God’s love, etc. Jesus always looks at us with compassion and desires to touch us and make us whole again. Listen to Jesus as He addresses these words to us, “Of course I want to! Be cured! Live! Love!”

Question for reflection:
How do I approach Jesus in prayer- with faith like the leper?

Ibrani 3:7-14;
Markus 1:40-45

“Tuhan, jika Engkau mahu”
Seorang pesakit kusta, orang buangan oleh masyarakat kerana penyakit berjangkit yang dialaminya, melakukan tindakan berani mendekati Yesus dan merayu untuk disembuhkan. “Jika engkau mahu”, kata pesakit kusta itu kepada Yesus, “Engkau dapat menyembuhkan aku.” Dia memohon kerana dia memiliki iman kepercayaan bahawa Yesus akan menyembuhkannya.

Hari ini kita diundang untuk mendekati Yesus dengan iman dan mohon kepada-Nya untuk menyembuhkan luka-luka masa lalu kita, membuang ketakutan yang melumpuhkan kita, menyentuh bahagian-bahagian yang buruk dalam diri kita yang tidak mencerminkan cintakasih Allah dan sebagainya. Yesus sentiasa memandang kita dengan penuh belas kasihan dan ingin menyentuh kita dan menjadikan kita utuh kembali. Dengarkan Yesus ketika Dia mengungkapkan perkataan ini kepada kita, “Aku mahu! Jadilah sembuh! Hidup! Mengasihi!”

Bagaimana saya dapat mendekati Yesus melalui doa – dengan iman seperti orang kusta?

Orou raiti’, itakau kimaitin rapog ri Jisus pabayaan ra kaintapatan am mangitaak Riso koson mamabas ra pilat-pilat takau ra galing, mangiru’ ra laa’ ondo’ mampalawo ritakau, mangambong ra tampilon ondo’ kalo moonsoi ritakau ondo’ kalo mampatampulau ra togom ri Aki Kapuuno’, am bokon-bokon poyo. Masalok i Jisus magilong ritakau pabayaan ra makaasi’ am moogot mangambong ritakau am mambaal ritakau matanda’ saguli’. Rumongog ri Jisus paat ra Io mindagu ra ragu-ragu ragitio ritakau, “Iou topot! Masaga’ Aku! Kababas no! Kaayag no! Kotogom no!”

Ati kulaan kia rumapog aku ri Jisus ralalom pakiasian – pabayaan ra kaintapatan koson ra ulun makamaruol ra kungkung ondo’ maaja’?

“Tuhan, enti nuan deka…”
Orang ti sakit lan, diburu ari mensia mayuh laban penyerekai penyakit ti dikembuan iya, tang laban iya orang ti berani ati lalu mansang ngagai Jesus sereta minta disumanka, ko iya bejako ngagai Jesus, “nuan ulih ngasoh aku tuchi.” Iya nanya Jesus laban pengarap iya ka Jesus ti ulih nyuman ka iya.

Saritu, kitai dikangau awak mansang ngagai Jesus lalu minta Iya nyuman ka abi telih kitai ti kelia, muai penakut ati ti enda ulih mai kitai mansang, negu bengkah utai ti enda manah ti enda mandangka pengerindu Allah Taala, sereta macam utai bukai. Jesus meruan meda kitai enggau penyinu sereta deka negu kitai lalu nyadi ka kitai baru. Dinga ka Jesus lebuh Iya bejako ngagai kitai, “Aku deka nyuman ka nuan! Idup meh!Rindu meh!

Kati aku ulih mansang ngagai Jesus enggau ati arap baka orang sakit lan tu?

” 主，你若愿意”
只因为病症会传染，这癞病人
近乎被社会唾弃，但他却做了一个果敢，胆大包天的举动，就是他竟然接近耶稣并要求治愈。
癞病人祈求耶稣说：“你若愿意，就能洁净我。”他这样祈求是因为他对耶稣有信心，相信耶稣会治愈。
今天，我们同样被邀请，带者信德去接近耶稣。祈求他治愈我们往日的创伤，去除那令我们裹足不前的恐惧，触摸内心深处最为丑陋不堪，无法反映主爱的一面等等。耶稣常常怜悯地注视我们并期望感动我们，让我们恢复以往那完整无缺的人儿。
让我们聆听耶稣向我们说：“当然，我愿意！洁净吧！充满生气！去爱吧！”

省思题：
我如何在祈祷中接近耶稣，像有信德的癞病人？
