PAKAN, SARIKEI — On Aug 24 2024, the Chapel of St Francis of Assisi in Pakan came alive with excitement as people of all ages gathered for a Jogathon, a special event aimed at raising funds for the construction of the new Wisma Catholic Pakan. The Jogathon, which saw around 40 participants across four categories, brought together the entire community in a spirited display of unity and purpose.
Participants of all ages laced up their running shoes and hit the trails, their determination fueled by the shared goal of contributing to the parish’s future. The event was not just about the race; it was a celebration of community, with young and old alike joining forces to support a cause close to their hearts.
The success of the Jogathon was made possible by the generosity of numerous donors and the tireless efforts of many. Special thanks to the programme’s mastermind, Chairman, Juli, and the dedicated committee members who worked behind the scenes to ensure everything ran smoothly. The youth of St Francis of Assisi Pakan played a pivotal role in running the event, showcasing their energy and enthusiasm. Additionally, the food and beverage team kept everyone refreshed, the RELA platoon Pakan ensured safety, and the entire parish came together in support.
