THE Roman Catholic Episcopal Commission for Creation Justice MSB (Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei), together with its local chapter, CJC Sabah, are inviting all Catholics to celebrate the week-long Laudato Si’ Week 2021 through participating in its various online program starting May 16-25.
The local celebration of Laudato Si’ Week is a response to the invitation by Pope Francis to 1.3 billion Catholics worldwide to celebrate “the great progress they’ve made in bringing Laudato Si’ to life” throughout six years of its existence.
The Laudato Si’ Week 2021 aimed to also celebrate the end of the Laudato Si’ Special Anniversary Year which runs from May 24, 2020 to May 24, 2021.
The theme for the week is “for we know that things can change” (LS 13).
CJC Sabah is also celebrating Laudato Si’ Week every year as an awareness program for the parishioners on the importance of care for creation.
