First reading Apocalypse 22:1-7

The Lord God will shine on them; it will never be night again

The angel showed me, John, the river of life, rising from the throne of God and of the Lamb and flowing crystal-clear down the middle of the city street. On either side of the river were the trees of life, which bear twelve crops of fruit in a year, one in each month, and the leaves of which are the cure for the pagans.

The ban will be lifted. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in its place in the city; his servants will worship him, they will see him face to face, and his name will be written on their foreheads. It will never be night again and they will not need lamplight or sunlight, because the Lord God will be shining on them. They will reign for ever and ever.

The angel said to me, ‘All that you have written is sure and will come true: the Lord God who gives the spirit to the prophets has sent his angel to reveal to his servants what is soon to take place. Very soon now, I shall be with you again.’ Happy are those who treasure the prophetic message of this book.

Responsorial Psalm 94(95):1-7

Marana tha! Come, Lord Jesus!

Come, ring out our joy to the Lord;

hail the rock who saves us.

Let us come before him, giving thanks,

with songs let us hail the Lord.

A mighty God is the Lord,

a great king above all gods.

In his hand are the depths of the earth;

the heights of the mountains are his.

To him belongs the sea, for he made it

and the dry land shaped by his hands.

Come in; let us bow and bend low;

let us kneel before the God who made us:

for he is our God and we

the people who belong to his pasture,

the flock that is led by his hand.

Gospel Luke 21:34-36

That day will be sprung on you suddenly, like a trap

Jesus said to his disciples:

‘Watch yourselves, or your hearts will be coarsened with debauchery and drunkenness and the cares of life, and that day will be sprung on you suddenly, like a trap. For it will come down on every living man on the face of the earth. Stay awake, praying at all times for the strength to survive all that is going to happen, and to stand with confidence before the Son of Man.’

Reflection
Revelation 22:1-7, Luke 21:34-36

“Created by Love, in Love, for Love”
Are we living our life with meaning? We have been created by Love, in Love, for Love. Love is the fundamental reality that can truly give lasting purpose and meaning to our lives.

‘Watch yourselves! Stay awake. Pray’ This is the desire of Jesus for us. To watch ourselves and not to lose the true direction of living a purposeful life. To stay awake and recognise God’s loving presence in each person we meet, in each event we live. To pray and enter into our inner room within and seek God’s loving presence. Today, as we prepare ourselves to enter into the season of Advent, let us listen attentively and deeply to Jesus’ invitation to open our hearts to love.

Questions for reflection:
Am I happy with the way I live my life? Do I live it with meaning?

Wahyu 22:1-7, Lukas 21:34-36

“Dicipta oleh Cinta, dalam Cinta, untuk Cinta”
Adakah kita menjalani hidup kita dengan penuh makna? Kita telah dicipta oleh Cinta, dalam Cinta dan Untuk Cinta. Cinta adalah realiti asas yang benar-benar dapat memberikan makna dan tujuan yang berkekalan dalam hidup kita.
‘Jagalah dirimu! Berjaga-jagalah. Berdoa’ Ini merupakan keinginan Yesus untuk kita. Menjaga diri kita dan tidak kehilangan arah tujuan dalam kehidupan. Untuk tetap berjaga dan mengenali kehadiran cinta kasih Tuhan dalam setiap orang yang kita temui, dalam setiap peristiwa yang kita alami. Untuk berdoa dan masuk dalam hati kita dan menemukan kehadiran cintakasih Allah. Hari ini, dalam kita menyediakan diri kita untuk masuk dalam masa Adven, marilah mendengar dengan penuh perhatian dan mendalam terhadap jemputan Yesus untuk membuka hati kita untuk mengasihi.

Soalan renungan:
Adakah saya gembira dengan cara saya menjalani hidup? Adakah saya menjalaninya dengan penuh makna?

Pemandang 22:1-7; Luke 21:34-36

“Ditempa ulih Pengerindu, dalam Pengerindu, ketegal Pengerindu.”
Bisi kitai idup enggau bisi reti? Kitai ditempa ulih Pengerindu, dalam Pengerindu, ketegal Pengerindu. Pengerindu nyadi utai ti amat nyata ti ulih mai tuju sereta reti ti dalam sereta meruan dalam pengidup kitai.

‘Bejaga, Besampi’ tu meh ka dideka Jesus ka kitai. Nyaga diri lalu enda lenyau pengandal ka tuju ti amat pengidup kitai. Bejaga lalu ngelala pengerindu Allah Taala ti diau dalam genap iko orang ti enggau kitai begulai, dalam semua utai ti nyadi ba pengidup kitai. Besampi lalu tama dalam bilik pemadu dalam ati kitai lalu ngiga pengerindu Allah Taala. Saritu, lebuh kitai nyedia diri tama ngagai musin Advent, aram meh kitai mending enggau lansik sereta dalam ka kangau Jesus awak muka ati kitai ka pengerindu.
