‘Youth Solidarity With Flood Victims 1.0’: Anak muda hulur tenaga kepada komuniti Kg Sugud

‘Youth Solidarity With Flood Victims 1.0’ di Kg Sugud pada 25 Sep

SUGUD – Seramai 114 anak muda dari seluruh Keuskupan Agung Kota Kinabalu keluar menghulurkan tenaga pada 25 Sep membantu komuniti Kg Sugud yang masih mengalami keperitan akibat kejadian banjir besar baru-baru ini.

Program anjuran Komisi Belia Keuskupan Agung memanggil semua anak muda untuk terlibat sama di dalam kerja-kerja pembersihan Kg Sugud, di dalam Program ‘Youth Solidarity With Flood Victims’.  

Antara yang hadir adalah belia dari paroki-paroki di bawah Keuskupan Agung, dua orang belia dari Keuskupan Keningau, Aspiran CDC, Aspiran FSIC, Alumni Catholic Student Society dan beberapa individu yang datang secara sukarela.

Sr Terry Loukang, Koordinator Komisi Belia, berkata program ini adalah satu peluang bagi anak muda untuk bangkit dan bersaksi sebagai pengikut Kristus.

“Saksi bahawa kasih Kristus senantiasa menyertai kita dalam apa keadaan sekalipun. Apa pun yang kita lakukan hari ini, kecil atau besar, kita memuliakan nama Tuhan kita Yesus Kristus,” kata Sr Terry.  

Anak-anak muda dibahagi kepada 13 kumpulan untuk membersihkan tiga buah kawasan di Sugud iaitu Konouvan, Tampasak dan Tinduuzon.

Sebelum dan selepas pembersihan

Apa yang dapat dilihat pada hari tersebut, rumah-rumah di kawasan Tinduuzon masih sangat memerlukan banyak pembersihan manakala di kawasan Tampasak, ada beberapa rumah yang perlu diperbaiki akibat kerosakan teruk. Ada juga rumah-rumah yang sudah bersih di bahagian dalam namun masih perlu pembersihan di bahagian luar.

Program ini juga menerima sokongan daripada pihak yang prihatin dalam bentuk peralatan pembersihan seperti cangkul, penyapu, sekop, pengelap mop, kereta sorong, baldi dan plastik. Walaubagaimanapun, para belia juga membawa peralatan pembersihan sendiri.

Antara peralatan pembersihan yang diderma untuk tujuan pembersihan rumah-rumah di Kg Sugud

Kerja-kerja pembersihan dijalankan pada jam 9.00 pagi – 3.00 petang.

Turut hadir membantu adalah Fr Isidore Gilbert, Penasihat Rohani Komisi Belia dan Fr Rayner Bisius, Paderi Pembantu Paroki St Joseph Papar yang juga berasal dari Kg Sugud sendiri.

Melihat kepada keadaan pada hari tersebut, masih banyak lagi yang perlu dibersihkan di dalam dan di luar rumah. Oleh itu, Komisi Belia akan meneruskan program solidariti ini dalam ‘Youth Solidarity With Flood Victims 2.0’.

‘Youth Solidarity With Flood Victims 2.0’

Program solidariti 2.0 ini masih memerlukan lebih ramai sukarelawan untuk datang membantu dan menyelesaikan kerja-kerja pembersihan di Kg Sugud. Berikut adalah butiran untuk makluman dan tindakan umat yang selanjutnya.

Tarikh: 2 Okt 2021 (Sabtu)

Masa: 9.00am (Berkumpul di hadapan Gereja Our Lady of Assumption, Sugud)

Tempat: Kg Sugud, Penampang

Untuk penyertaan dan pertanyaan, boleh berhubung dengan:

Memandangkan kes jangkitan COVID-19 masih lagi tinggi, maka mereka yang mahu membantu pada hari tersebut haruslah mematuhi SOP berikut:

  1. Sihat sepenuhnya dan tiada selsema atau batuk
  2. Bukan close contact
  3. Bukan dari kawasan PKPD
  4. Sudah menerima dua dos vaksin dan sudah genap dua minggu selepas vaksin
  5. Sentiasa memakai pelitup muka sepanjang kerja pembersihan
  6. Tidak dibenarkan berkumpul beramai-ramai dalam satu tempat
