Kursus Evangelisasi Peribadi pertama dilancar di Sabah

DONTOZIDON, Penampang – Kursus Evangelisasi Peribadi yang pertama (KEP 1) di Sabah telah dilancarkan oleh Uskup Agung John Wong di dalam Misa Kudus online yang disiar langsung dari Paroki St Paul Dontozidon pada 9 Julai.

Ketika ditemubual, Sr Dariah Ajap, Koordinator Komisi Kateketikal Keuskupan Agung Kota Kinabalu, berkata seramai 56 umat Katolik telah menjawab panggilan untuk mengambil bahagian aktif dalam tugas penginjilan Gereja melalui kursus KEP 1.

“KEP adalah kesempatan dan peluang terbaik bagi umat Katolik untuk mengenal dan menyedari tugas utamanya sebagai pengikut Kristus, iaitu mewartakan Khabar Baik dan menerapkannya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari,” kata Sr Dariah.

Kursus pertama ini adalah anjuran Keuskupan Agung Kota Kinabalu dengan kerjasama dari Keuskupan Melaka-Johor dan Keuskupan Bogor, Indonesia.

Keuskupan Agung Kota Kinabalu telah mendaftarkan seramai 43 peserta, Keuskupan Keningau 11 peserta dan masing-masing Keuskupan Pulau Pinang dan Melaka-Johor satu peserta.  

Sr Dariah berkata, “KEP 1 akan berjalan selama empat bulan secara online bermula dengan kelas pertama pada 10 Julai lalu sehingga akhir Oktober kelak.

“Peserta akan mengikuti kelas online pada setiap hari Sabtu dari jam 9.00 pagi – 12.00 tengahari dan setiap hari Ahad pada jam 1.00 petang – 4.00 petang.”  

Ditanya mengenai tujuan Kursus Evangelisasi Peribadi ini diadakan, Sr Dariah berkata, “KEP mengajak umat untuk terlebih dahulu menerima dan menghayati Khabar Baik di dalam dirinya sendiri.

“Melalui hubungan peribadi yang baru dengan Yesus Kristus maka seseorang akan mengalami perubahan visi, sikap dan perilaku dalam kehidupannya.

“Pada akhirnya seseorang yang telah menerima Khabar Baik akan juga mewartakan sukacita yang diperolehnya pada sesama secara peribadi ke peribadi melalui perkongsian iman dan langkah-langkah yang akan diajarkan di dalam kursus ini.”

Pada hari pelancaran, Uskup Agung John Wong berkata kepada semua peserta kursus yang hadir secara fizikal mahupun secara maya agar membawa Yesus bersama mereka sepanjang mengikuti kursus KEP1.

“Bawalah Yesus bersama dengan engkau, mahupun di mana engkau berada sebab ketahuilah Dia begitu ingin mahu beserta dengan kita semua.

“Oleh itu apa yang kita lakukan, dalam hidup seharian kita terutama sekali dalam mengikuti kursus ini bawalah Dia bersama dengan engkau supaya melalui pimpinanNya, iman engkau akan dikuatkan, kata Uskup Agung.

Peserta juga berkesempatan mendengar kata-kata dari Msgr Paskalis Bruno Syukur OFM, Uskup Bogor, Indonesia dan Msgr Peter Ng, Penasihat KEP dari Keuskupan Melaka Johor.

“Keuskupan Agung Kota Kinabalu mengambil langkah luar biasa kerana mengadakan KEP 1 di tengah pandemik. Pelaksanaan KEP merupakan jawapan kita terhadap penekanan Bapa Suci Fransiskus dalam seruan Apostolik Evangelii Gaudium No 111 iaitu ‘evangelisasi adalah tugas gereja’. Kami amat mendukung kursus KEP 1 ini,” tekan Msgr Paskalis.

Manakala Msgr Peter Ng berkata, “Saya berasa bangga dan sukacita kerana KEP 1 diadakan di Sabah. Saya bersyukur kepada Tuhan kerana menggerakkan Roh Kudus untuk membolehkan Keuskupan Agung Kota Kinabalu menganjurkan KEP 1.”

KEP 1 adalah misi di bawah pelayanan Komisi Kateketikal Keuskupan Agung Kota Kinabalu dengan Fr Nicholas Stephen selaku penasihat rohani.

Sejarah ringkas kursus penginjilan di Sabah (dipetik dari nota Sr Dariah Ajap)

Sekolah Penginjilan Sabah pernah diadakan di Kota Kinabalu pada tahun 1991 sebaik sahaja Sr Grace Deosing dan Sr Jude Nemesius kembali ke Sabah setelah menghadiri enam bulan Kursus Penginjilan di Philippines. 

Tim Penginjilan pada waktu itu adalah Fr Gilbert Engan, Fr Erik Jerome, Fr David Sham, Saudara Daniel Kong, Peter Thien, Maurice Awit, Sr Grace Deosing dan Sr Jude Nemesius. 

Mereka telah mengadakan Kursus Penginjilan secara intensif di Rumah Retret Bundu Tuhan sehingga tahun 1993. 

Kemudian Kursus Penginjilan diteruskan dengan mengadakan seminar penginjilan dari paroki ke paroki di bawah pimpinan Tim Penginjilan Keuskupan ini sehingga tahun Jubli 2000. Namun, oleh kerana kekurangan tenaga dan fasilitator pada ketika itu, maka kursus penginjilan tidak dapat diteruskan.

Syukur kepada Tuhan kerana pada tahun ini kursus penginjilan dapat diaktifkan semula di bawah Komisi Kateketikal Keuskupan Agung Kota Kinabalu.
