First reading Acts 2:36-41

You must repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus

On the day of Pentecost, Peter spoke to the Jews: ‘The whole House of Israel can be certain that God has made this Jesus whom you crucified both Lord and Christ.’

Hearing this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the apostles, ‘What must we do, brothers?’ ‘You must repent,’ Peter answered ‘and every one of you must be baptised in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The promise that was made is for you and your children, and for all those who are far away, for all those whom the Lord our God will call to himself.’ He spoke to them for a long time using many arguments, and he urged them, ‘Save yourselves from this perverse generation.’ They were convinced by his arguments, and they accepted what he said and were baptised. That very day about three thousand were added to their number.

Responsorial Psalm 32(33):4-5,18-20,22

The Lord fills the earth with his love.

Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia!

The word of the Lord is faithful

and all his works to be trusted.

The Lord loves justice and right

and fills the earth with his love.

The Lord looks on those who revere him,

on those who hope in his love,

to rescue their souls from death,

to keep them alive in famine.

Our soul is waiting for the Lord.

The Lord is our help and our shield.

May your love be upon us, O Lord,

as we place all our hope in you.

Gospel John 20:11-18

‘I have seen the Lord and he has spoken to me’

Mary stayed outside near the tomb, weeping. Then, still weeping, she stooped to look inside, and saw two angels in white sitting where the body of Jesus had been, one at the head, the other at the feet. They said, ‘Woman, why are you weeping?’ ‘They have taken my Lord away’ she replied ‘and I don’t know where they have put him.’ As she said this she turned round and saw Jesus standing there, though she did not recognise him. Jesus said, ‘Woman, why are you weeping? Who are you looking for?’ Supposing him to be the gardener, she said, ‘Sir, if you have taken him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will go and remove him.’ Jesus said, ‘Mary!’ She knew him then and said to him in Hebrew, ‘Rabbuni!’ – which means Master. Jesus said to her, ‘Do not cling to me, because I have not yet ascended to the Father. But go and find the brothers, and tell them: I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’ So Mary of Magdala went and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord and that he had said these things to her.

Reflection
Acts 2: 36-41, John 20:11-18

“To be personally called by Jesus”
Mary Magdalene saw the empty tomb and could not find the body of her Master. Overwhelmed with grief, she could not recognize Jesus when He came to her, and she thought that he was a gardener. ‘Jesus said, ‘Mary!’ She turned round then and said to him in Hebrew, ‘Rabbuni!’ — which means Master.’: At the sound of Jesus calling her name in a personal way, she recognised Him, and her sadness turned into joy.

There are many moments in life when we fail to recognise the many ways that the risen Jesus comes to us. In this Covid-19 pandemic, we might be blinded by the gloom of uncertainties and fears. Jesus continues to call us by our name because He wants to penetrate the darkness of desolation and fear that engulfs our hearts with the light of His love. In the same way that He told Mary, Jesus wants to remind us again that His Father is our Father, His God is our God. This is the good news today for us that the Risen Lord desires to bring us into the same intimate relationship that He has with God. May we find joy and peace this Easter by listening to Jesus as He calls us personally by our name and allow Him to lead us always to be in union with God.

Kisah para Rasul 2: 36-41, Yohanes 20:11-18

“Dipanggil secara peribadi oleh Yesus”
Maria Magdalena melihat kubur kosong dan tidak dapat menemukan jenazah Gurunya. Diliputi dengan kesedihan, dia tidak dapat mengenali Yesus ketika Yesus datang kepadanya, dan dia berfikir bahawa dia adalah seorang tukang kebun. ‘Yesus berkata, ‘Maria!” Dia berpaling dan berkata kepadanya dalam bahasa Ibrani, ‘Rabbuni!’ — yang berarti Guru.’: Ketika suara Yesus memanggil namanya secara, Maria mengenali-Nya, dan kesedihannya berubah menjadi sukacita.
Ada banyak peristiwa dalam hidup ketika kita gagal mengenali Yesus yang bangkit dating kepada kita melalui banyak cara. Dalam pandemik Covid-19 ini, kita mungkin dibutakan oleh kegelapan ketidakpastian dan ketakutan. Yesus terus memanggil kita dengan nama kita karena Dia ingin menembus kegelapan keputusasaan dan ketakutan yang menguasai hati kita dengan terang kasih-Nya. Dengan cara yang sama seperti yang Dia katakan kepada Maria, Yesus ingin mengingatkan kita bahawa Bapa-Nya adalah Bapa kita, Tuhan-Nya adalah Allah kita. Inilah khabar baik hari ini bagi kita bahawa Tuhan yang Bangkit ingin membawa kita ke dalam hubungan intim yang sama dengan Dia dan Tuhan. Semoga kita menemukan sukacita dan kedamaian Paska ini dengan mendengarkan Yesus ketika Dia memanggil nama kita secara peribadi dan membenarkan Dia memimpin kita untuk selalu bersatu dengan Allah.

Kereja Rasul 2:36-41; John 20:11-18

“Dikangau siko-siko ulih Jesus.”
Maria Madelina meda pendam ti puang lalu nadai meda tubuh Pengajar iya. Laban balat sinu ati, iya enda ngelala Jesus ti datai mansang ngagai iya lalu ngumbai Jesus nya tukang kebun. ‘Ko Jesus, ‘Maria!’ iya lau nguing diri lalu nyaut dalam jako Hebrew, ‘Rabbuni!’ — ti mai reti ‘Pengajar’: ari ninga Jesus nyebut nama iya, Maria lalu ngelala sapa ti ngangau iya, ari nya penyinu ati iya berubah nyadi pengaga ati.

Suah endar dalam pengidup kitai enda ulih meda tauka ngasaika mayuh jalai Jesus datai ngagai kitai. Maya pengerekai igi penyakit Covid 19 tu, kitai tentu berasai irau ati ka utai ti enda tentu nyadi. Jesus seruran ngangau nama kitai laban Iya deka tama dalam pemetang enggau penakut ati lalu nyerayong ati kitai enggau pengerindu Iya. Ba jalai ka sama, Iya nusi ngagai Maria, Jesus ngingatka kitai pasal Apai Iya mega Apai kitai, Allah Taala Iya ti Allah Taala kitai. Tu meh berita manah ka kitai saritu pasal Tuhan ti Udah Angkat lalu ingin beserakup dalam Iya enggau Allah Taala. Awak kitai tetemuka pengaga ati sereta pemaik ba musin Paska tu lalu mendingka Jesus ti ngangau kitai siko-siko sereta meri awak ka Iya ngiring kitai awak beserakup enggau Allah Taala.

Nama pesan Jesus ka aku ba awak sembiang saritu?

“耶稣亲自召唤”

玛利亚玛达肋纳看见墓穴空了，并且没见到她主子的尸身。因为哀痛而不知所措的她，当耶稣来到她面前站着的时候，她察觉不出那就是耶稣，她以为祂是园丁。‘耶稣说，“玛利亚！”她便转身用希伯来话对祂说：“辣步尼！”——意思就是“师傅”’。耶稣亲自以自己的声音召唤她的方式，让她认出了耶稣，同时她的悲伤也转换为喜乐。

在生命中的很多时候，我们无法察觉到已经复活的耶稣临在于我们。在这新冠肺炎的全球大流行之下，我们或许被内心倍增的茫然和恐惧的影响而变得盲目。耶稣亲自召唤我们的名字，因为祂要以祂爱的真光穿透，在我们心里的落寞和惧怕的暗黑，它们正在逐步地吞噬我们的心灵。就像耶稣告诉玛利亚那样的方式，耶稣也要再次提醒我们，祂的圣父也是我们的圣父，祂的天主也是我们的天主。对于现在的我们来说是个喜讯，已经复活的救主愿意带领我们进入与祂与天主相同的关系，那就是与天主亲密的关系。愿我们在这个复活节藉由聆听耶稣亲自召唤我们的名字而里得到喜乐及和平，并且允许祂引导我们经常处在与天主的共融。

省思题：
耶稣在这一次的祷告中给予我什么信息呢？
