Lawatan Bapa Suci menggalakkan Gereja di Mongolia ‘untuk dekat dengan orang miskin’

Pengarah dan Pengurus Eksekutif Caritas Mongolia menyerlahkan warisan yang akan diserahkan oleh Bapa Suci Fransiskus kepada Gereja di negara itu, ketika agensi jangkauan kemanusiaan tempatan Gereja berusaha untuk membantu orang ramai di pinggir masyarakat.

Kerja sosial untuk orang miskin dan promosi manusia adalah bahagian penting dalam aktiviti dakwah Gereja Katolik Mongolia, dan Caritas Mongolia memainkan peranan penting dalam bidang ini.

Agensi jangkauan kemanusiaan tempatan Gereja memulakan aktivitinya di Mongolia dengan membantu pengembala yang terjejas oleh keadaan musim sejuk yang melampau, yang dikenali sebagai zud, antara 1999 dan 2000, dan menjadi ahli rasmi rangkaian Caritas Internationalis pada 2010.

Selama bertahun-tahun organisasi Katolik telah mengembangkan programnya, termasuk pendidikan, bantuan sosial dan kemanusiaan, keselamatan makanan dan pertanian, penghijrahan, pembinaan semula mata pencarian, dan projek pembinaan masyarakat di kawasan luar bandar.

Mengurangkan kesan bencana alam dan perlindungan alam sekitar juga menjadi keutamaan, kerana negara menghadapi masalah pencemaran teruk yang disebabkan oleh industri perlombongan dan oleh penggunaan arang batu yang tinggi semasa musim sejuk.

Bapa Suci meningkatkan kesedaran tentang perlindungan alam sekitar

Menurut Nasansjargal Jamaa, Pengurus Eksekutif Caritas Mongolia, salah satu warisan paling berharga dalam Perjalanan Apostolik Bapa Suci Fransiskus ke Mongolia akan meningkatkan kesedaran mengenai isu penting ini, yang diingatkan oleh Bapa Suci dalam ucapan awam pertamanya kepada pihak berkuasa pada hari Sabtu, 1 Sep.

“Saya rasa Laudato si’ adalah salah satu ensikliknya yang paling penting,” katanya dalam temu bual dengan Linda Bordoni dari Vatican News.

Kedekatan dengan golongan terpinggir

Bagi pihaknya, Pengarah Caritas Mongolia, Sister Anne Waturu, yang memperincikan kepada Vatican News pelbagai aktiviti organisasi dan rakan kongsinya, berkata bahawa lawatan Bapa Suci akan menggalakkan Gereja di Mongolia untuk dekat dengan orang-orang di pinggir masyarakat.

“Ini adalah pengajaran besar yang memberi kami harapan dan juga keberanian untuk meneruskan kerja kami bersama golongan terpinggir,” katanya. Kemiskinan dan jurang antara kaya dan miskin telah meningkat dengan ketara di negara ini sejak dua dekad yang lalu, tambah Nasansjargal.

Projek dan pembiayaan Caritas Mongolia

Caritas Mongolia kini menjalankan tujuh program utama: Pembinaan Kapasiti Koperasi, Pendidikan, Tindakan Kecemasan, Keselamatan Makanan dan Pertanian, Kepimpinan dan Advokasi Wanita, Penyelidikan dan Pembangunan, dan Penyepaduan Semula Sosial.

Kerjanya dipandu oleh pendekatan berasaskan komuniti yang diasaskan pada prinsip-prinsip Pengajaran Sosial Katolik, untuk mempromosikan nilai-nilai maruah manusia, keutamaan kepada orang miskin, penyertaan, komuniti dan kebaikan bersama, maruah kerja, pengawasan Tuhan. penciptaan, perpaduan dan mempromosikan keamanan.

Nasansjargal menekankan bahawa salah satu cabaran utama yang dihadapi organisasi ialah mencari sumber untuk kakitangan dan projeknya, kerana aktivitinya bergantung sepenuhnya kepada pembiayaan luar.
