Umat Katolik Vietnam mengalu-alukan perjanjian Taktha Suci-Hanoi

Umat Katolik di Vietnam menjangkakan perjanjian baharu Vatikan-Vietnam untuk membawa lebih manfaat hak keagamaan dan membuka jalan baharu untuk mereka terlibat dalam aktiviti sosial untuk berkhidmat kepada negara.

Perjanjian membenarkan Vatikan mempunyai wakil paus pemastautin di negara yang diperintah komunis itu diumumkan secara rasmi semasa lawatan ke Vatikan oleh Presiden Vietnam Vo Van Thuong pada 27 Julai.

“Kami sangat gembira dengan perjanjian itu,” kata Peter Ta Dinh Vui, ketua pergerakan Couples for Christ di Ho Chi Minh City.

Vui yang berusia 76 tahun menyifatkan ia sebagai “langkah pertama bagi kedua-dua pihak untuk memulakan sinodal dalam semangat persefahaman, hormat-menghormati dan dialog bersama.”

Perjanjian itu, katanya lagi, akan membuktikan daya penggerak bagi umat Katolik tempatan “menjadi garam dan ragi dalam masyarakat dan membuat sumbangan berguna kepada pembangunan dan kemakmuran negara.”

Vui berkata ramai orang mengharapkan gereja tempatan mempunyai lebih banyak ruang untuk aktiviti keagamaan, pendidikan, penjagaan kesihatan dan kebudayaan dengan kemungkinan pelonggaran dasar mengenai perkara agama.

Uskup Agung Joseph Nguyen Nang, presiden Persidangan Uskup Katolik Vietnam, menyeru umat Katolik untuk bersyukur kepada Tuhan atas keputusan yang baik.

“Kehadiran kekal seorang vikaris Bapa Suci akan membantu umat Tuhan di Vietnam merasakan persekutuan konkrit dengan Bapa Suci, hidup dan memberi kesaksian tentang Injil di kalangan negara dengan lebih aktif,” katanya dalam satu kenyataan yang dikeluarkan pada 28 Julai.

Uskup Agung Ho Chi Minh City juga berkata bahawa perjanjian itu akan menjadi premis untuk hubungan Vietnam-Vatikan untuk bergerak ke tahap yang lebih tinggi pada masa depan “supaya kita boleh berpeluang untuk mengalu-alukan Sangti Papa melawat kita suatu hari nanti. ”

Hubungan diplomatik penuh antara Vietnam dan Vatikan masih belum terjalin, tetapi sejak 2011 seorang wakil paus bukan pemastautin telah melakukan lawatan tetap ke Vietnam.

Semua prasarana kemudahan gereja telah dirampas oleh kerajaan selepas penyatuan semula negara itu pada tahun 1975. Pertubuhan agama tempatan hanya dibenarkan menjalankan pusat-pusat penjagaan harian.

Sister Mary Vu Thi Chuong daripada Pencinta Salib Suci Cho Quan berkata perkembangan dalam hubungan antara kedua-dua pihak akan memberi peluang kepada penduduk tempatan untuk berkhidmat kepada negara dengan lebih baik.

Chuong, yang bertanggungjawab ke atas pusat asuhan di Bandaraya Ho Chi Minh, berkata kerajaan harus menyediakan peluang yang baik kepada perkumpulan agama untuk menubuhkan komuniti baharu di kawasan terpencil supaya mereka dapat membantu meningkatkan kehidupan orang ramai.

Fr John Le Ngoc Quynh berkata wakil paus yang tinggal tetap itu harus bekerjasama dengan kerajaan untuk melonggarkan peraturan agamanya dan menghormati kebebasan beragama di kawasan terpencil.

Paderi berusia 56 tahun itu, yang menyediakan penjagaan pastoral kepada Stesen Misi Gio An dengan 100 penganut Katolik di daerah Gio Linh di wilayah Quang Tri, berkata akses kepada aktiviti keagamaan telah dihadkan secara berpanjangan untuk orang di daerah jiran Vinh Linh selama hampir 50 tahun.

Tiada kemudahan keagamaan yang baru dibuka di daerah itu, tambah Father Quynh.

Paderi itu mengimbas kembali bagaimana dia dihalang daripada merayakan Krismas bersama beberapa penganut Katolik di rumah mereka semasa lawatan ke Vinh Linh pada 2020.

Pihak berkuasa menuduhnya mengumpul orang secara haram, menyuraikan penganut Katolik tempatan, dan menyoal beberapa orang.

Kira-kira 20 orang mengembara setiap minggu dengan motosikal untuk menghadiri Misa Ahad di stesen misi, tambah Father Quynh.

Mary Tran Thi Thuy, seorang katekis dari Paroki Cang Huong Ly di wilayah Yen Bai, berkata menandatangani perjanjian itu hanyalah langkah pertama, tetapi Vietnam dan Takhta Suci akan mengambil lebih banyak masa untuk memahami pandangan antara satu sama lain dan menyelesaikan isu agama.

Thuy, 57, yang daripada etnik minoriti di kawasan terpencil, berkata masyarakatnya menghadapi kesukaran dalam amalan kepercayaan mereka.

“Kami tidak diberi tanah untuk membina kemudahan, dan gagal mendapat kelulusan kerajaan untuk masyarakat,” katanya.

Parokinya telah diluluskan oleh kerajaan pada 2014 walaupun penganut Katolik berpindah ke kawasan itu pada 1964.

Pihak berkuasa tempatan baru-baru ini memberikan hak milik paroki tanah seluas 5,000 meter persegi untuk kemudahan bangunan, tambah Thuy.

Gereja Katolik di Vietnam terdiri daripada 7 juta umat Katolik di 3,000 paroki, 7,700 kemudahan, dan 11 seminari yang dilayani oleh 8,000 paderi dan 41 uskup aktif, menurut statistik kerajaan.- UCA News
