Apa kata mereka: Hari Migran dan Pengungsi Sedunia 2023

“Shalom dan salam damai saudara-saudari migran dan perantau yang terkasih.

Ini adalah sedikit perkongsian saya mengenai tema Hari Migran dan Pengungsi Sedunia yang ke-109 untuk tahun 2023, “Bebas Memilih untuk Berhijrah atau Menetap.” Saya amat tersentuh dengan tema pada kali ini kerana terlalu banyak faktor penyebabnya berlakunya migrasi seperti ekonomi, bencana alam dan peperangan. Di sini, saya ingin berkongsi lebih kepada faktor ekonomi kerana inilah penyebab utama bagi saya dan keluarga berhijrah ke sini. Kami merantau ke sini demi memperbaiki keadaan ekonomi keluarga kami. Sebagai migran dan perantau, pasti ada cabaran yang dihadapi di tempat yang dituju. Tidak dapat dinafikan dan dielakkan sekiranya wujud prasangka daripada penduduk tempatan terhadap para migran dan perantau.

Maka dengan itu, kita mestilah berusaha untuk menyesuaikan diri dengan masyarakat setempat dan mengenali sesama dengan secepat mungkin. Maka, dengan bantuan Tuhan melalui sesama, kita dapat lebih mengenali, saling memberi dan menerima. Seiring dengan penyesuaian itu, maka kita dapat mewujudkan komuniti yang berjalan bersama, melayani semua orang yang memerlukan, di samping itu juga kita dapat membangun iman dengan sesama kita iaitu beriman kepada Tuhan Yesus. Tuhan memberkati kita. Terima kasih.”

“Shalom dan salam damai dalam kasih Kristus.

Syukur kepada Tuhan yang maha mengasihi kerana pada tahun ini kita berpeluang untuk menyambut perayaan Hari Migran dan pengungsi Sedunia yang ke-109. Topik mengenai migran merupakan satu topik yang sangat popular pada zaman globalisasi ini. Migran atau pengungsi adalah pilihan bebas dan menjadi hak setiap orang untuk menentukan mana yang terbaik bagi kehidupan mereka selanjutnya. Untuk bertahan hidup dan menjadikan kehidupan lebih baik adalah tujuan utama para migran atau pengungsi.

Saya ingin memetik pesanan Paus Fransiskus untuk Hari Migran dan Pengungsi Sedunia 2023, “Sebab ketika Aku lapar, maka kamu memberi Aku makan, Aku haus, dan kamu memberi Aku minum, Aku adalah orang asing, dan kamu menyambut Aku, Aku telanjang, dan kamu memberi Aku pakaian, Aku sakit, dan kamu memelihara Aku, Aku dipenjarakan dan kamu mengunjungi Aku.” (Matius 25:35-36).

Kata-kata ini adalah peringatan yang berterusan untuk kita melihat para migran bukan sahaja sebagai saudara-saudari kita yang dalam kesusahan, tetapi melihat mereka sebagai peribadi Kristus sendiri, yang mengetuk pintu hati kita. Oleh itu, sementara kita berusaha untuk memastikan bahawa dalam setiap kes migrasi atau penghijrahan adalah hasil keputusan bebas, kita dipanggil untuk menunjukkan penghormatan yang tinggi terhadap maruah setiap migran. Ini adalah termasuk membantu dan mengurus gelombang migrasi sebaik mungkin, membina jambatan dan bukannya tembok, mengembangkan saluran untuk migrasi yang selamat dan teratur. Di mana sahaja kita memutuskan untuk membina masa depan kita, di negara kelahiran kita atau di tempat lain, perkara yang paling penting ialah sentiasa ada komuniti yang bersedia untuk mengalu-alukan, melindungi, memajukan dan mengintegrasikan semua orang, tanpa membeza-bezakan dan tanpa mengenepikan sesiapa.

Seiring dengan tema Sinod Para Uskup Sedunia 2023, marilah kita berkolaborasi untuk saling melengkapi satu sama lain agar pelayanan kemanusiaan demi keutuhan ciptaan dan kemerdekaan anak-anak Tuhan dapat dialami oleh saudara-saudara kita migran dan pengungsi di manapun mereka ditemui. Jika tercapai, ini akan menjadi tanda keberhasilan misi gereja sinodal sekaligus penjamin penyertaan umat dalam perwujudan Missio Dei, mewartakan Injil kepada segala makhluk, membangun dan memberi kesaksian tentang kerajaan Tuhan.

Selamat menyambut Hari Migran dan Pengungsi Sedunia 2023. Tuhan memberkati.”

“Shalom semua.

Oleh kerana saya sendiri berada di dalam komiti penganjur, saya berasa gembira dan syukur kerana mendapat banyak pengajaran tentang berkongsi apa sahaja yang ada. Terima kasih atas segala yang dikurniai Tuhan kepada kita. Saya juga merupakan seorang migran di dunia ini dan akan kembali ke pangkuan Tuhan di mana tempat asal sebenar kita sebagai anak-anak Tuhan. Saya ingin mengucapkan terima kasih kepada rakan-rakan seperjuangan dalam tim penganjur sejak tahun lalu sehingga pada tahun ini kerana pengorbanan para ahli-ahli tim lain telah memberi saya banyak sokongan dan dorongan untuk meneruskan pelayanan saya.

Akhir sekali, terima kasih juga kerana saya diberi peluang dan ruang untuk perkongsian daripada saya ini. Tuhan memberkati.”

“Shalom dan salam damai kepada semua.

Saya bersukacita kerana diberikan peluang untuk berkongsi sedikit tentang pengalaman semasa penganjuran Hari Migran dan Pengungsi Sedunia 2023 Peringkat Paroki Katedral St Mary, Sandakan. Sebenarnya saya sangat bersyukur kerana diberi peluang untuk menjadi salah seorang tenaga penganjur semasa perayaan tersebut dan secara peribadi, saya dapat rasakan cintakasih Tuhan kepada kita semua. Saya sangat berbesar hati dan gembira kerana dapat melayani melalui penganjuran tersebut.

Inti perkongsian saya ini adalah mengenai betapa besarnya cintakasih Tuhan terhadap semua insan yang saya alami dengan sesama tanpa mengira latar belakang dan asal-usul melalui perayaan ini. Walaupun saya adalah warga Daerah Sandakan, namun saya sedar bahawa saya juga merupakan seorang migran, di mana semua manusia termasuk saya sendiri adalah migran dan hanya menetap sementara di dunia ini.

Saya berharap agar program seperti ini dapat diteruskan pada masa akan datang. Saya juga dengan ikhlas, ingin menyatakan di sini bahawa saya berniat untuk terus melayani sebagai tenaga penganjur lagi bersama ahli-ahli tim yang lain, sekiranya ada peluang.
