Pope Leo XIV sent this message in a note sent to Bishops around the world, inviting them to use Vatican News’ new video widget.
Dioceses, parishes, and Catholic associations and organizations will be able to embed this tool on their websites, in order to feature videos and news for free about the Pope and the Holy See.
Users who visit the diocesan or parish websites through their computers, tablets, or smartphones will always be up to date with the latest news on the magisterium and activities of the Bishop of Rome. All content about the Pope is available to share on social media in their own language.

“It would be important for the video widget to be widely distributed across as many websites as possible, to emphasize the link with the Bishop of Rome,” said Paolo Ruffini, Prefect of the Dicastery for Communication, in a letter attached to the Pope’s note, adding that it is also “a useful tool for evangelization.”
“The spread of this new tool,” said Andrea Tornielli, Editorial Director of the Dicastery for Communication, “can serve to combat the phenomenon of fake news by allowing immediate access to the original source of news and texts, as emphasized by the Holy Father in the note with which he wished to support this new initiative.”
The widget can be freely embedded into any website by simply copying and pasting the code.
To generate it in the language of your choice and according to the desired dimensions (both horizontal and vertical layouts are available, as well as the font for the text), just go to the following web address:

After entering all the required details, a customized code will be generated that can be copied for embedding. This is a one-time operation to be performed by the website’s webmaster, as the video widget will then update automatically without any further intervention.
The widget features brief videos about the Pope and the Holy See in real time, in both horizontal and vertical formats, which can be shared on social media; a “feed” with the latest news from Vatican News in the chosen language; and a direct link to the pages of Vatican.va, where the Pope’s full texts are always available.
The widget also includes direct links to L’Osservatore Romano and Vatican Radio. – Vatican News
