CHARIS Malaysia National Service of Communion is organizing a nine (9)-nights Novena to the Holy Spirit, dedicate to praying for our nation Malaysia, as we approach to celebrate Malaysia Day on Sep 16.
The 9-nigths Novena to the Holy Spirit will run from Sep 7 night till Sep 15. Each night will be led by each of the nine Dioceses of the Catholic Church in Malaysia, starting with the Archdiocese of Kota Kinabalu.
The Novena will conclude on Sep 16 with a Eucharistic Celebration at 8.00pm by Bishop Cornelius Piong of Keningau Diocese.
This Novena to the Holy Spirit program has been fully endorsed by all the Archbishops and Bishops of the Catholic Bishops Conference of Malaysia (CBCM).
The theme for the novena prayer is “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14).
All Catholics are encouraged to come together to join the Novena to the Holy Spirit to pray for our country in this challenging time.
The Novena will be broadcasted each night over the CHARIS Malaysia YouTube channel and it will start at 8.00pm and anticipated to finish by around 9.00pm.
