KUCHING — The Blessed Sacrament Church (BSC) Parish Pastoral Council celebrated the 16th anniversary of its rector, Rev Fr Leonard Yap on Jul 6 2025. Organised by the Parish Pastoral Council and various ministries, the dinner was held to honour Fr Leonard’s journey since his ordination on Jun 27 2009.
This year, the anniversary coincided with the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Fr Leonard Yap was installed as the new rector of Blessed Sacrament Church on Jan 15 2023.
The evening started with a prayer and a blessing by Fr Leonard, followed by the cutting of the anniversary cake. Pauline Lim, the BSC PPC Chairman, invited everyone to keep praying for Fr Leonard, encouraging all to be the joy and strength of him throughout his priestly journey. His dedication to serving multiple parishes within the Archdiocese of Kuching during his priesthood has been a true blessing.
At the end of dinner, Fr Leonard expressed his sincere gratitude for the prayers and support he received from everyone.
