First reading Exodus 24:3-8

This is the blood of the Covenant that the Lord has made with you

Moses went and told the people all the commands of the Lord and all the ordinances. In answer, all the people said with one voice, ‘We will observe all the commands that the Lord has decreed.’ Moses put all the commands of the Lord into writing, and early next morning he built an altar at the foot of the mountain, with twelve standing-stones for the twelve tribes of Israel. Then he directed certain young Israelites to offer holocausts and to immolate bullocks to the Lord as communion sacrifices. Half of the blood Moses took up and put into basins, the other half he cast on the altar. And taking the Book of the Covenant he read it to the listening people, and they said, ‘We will observe all that the Lord has decreed; we will obey.’ Then Moses took the blood and cast it towards the people. This’ he said ‘is the blood of the Covenant that the Lord has made with you, containing all these rules.’

Let them both grow till the harvest

Jesus put another parable before the crowds: ‘The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a man who sowed good seed in his field. While everybody was asleep his enemy came, sowed darnel all among the wheat, and made off. When the new wheat sprouted and ripened, the darnel appeared as well. The owner’s servants went to him and said, “Sir, was it not good seed that you sowed in your field? If so, where does the darnel come from?” “Some enemy has done this” he answered. And the servants said, “Do you want us to go and weed it out?” But he said, “No, because when you weed out the darnel you might pull up the wheat with it. Let them both grow till the harvest; and at harvest time I shall say to the reapers: First collect the darnel and tie it in bundles to be burnt, then gather the wheat into my barn.”’

Reflection
Exodus 24: 3-8, Matthew 13:24-30

“To be patient with others in the same way God is patient with us”
The gospel today uses the images of darnel and wheat. Darnel is a bad weed that looks like wheat in its growing stage. The servants wanted to remove the darnel because they were useless. The owner, however, had a different response to the situation. He was more tolerant of the darnel and allowed it to exist with the wheat. So what is the meaning of this parable for us?

The Church and our faith communities that represent the Kingdom of God here in our world are made up of good people (wheat) and not-sogood people (darnel). We tend to reject the darnel in our midst. God, however, shines His love on both the darnel and the wheat, the good and the bad, and He said to us, “Let them both grow”. Our task is to be patient and loving to those whom we consider as “darnel” and play our part in helping them to change and grow to become better persons. God is merciful, and so we too must be merciful.

Question for reflection:
How can I be more patient with the “darnel” in my life?

Keluaran 24: 3-8, Matius 13:24-30

“Bersabar dengan orang lain sepert Tuhan yang bersabar dengan kita”
Injil hari ini menggunakan
gambaran lalang dan gandum. Lalang adalah rumput liar yang kelihatan seperti gandu apabila ia tumbuh. Para hamba ingin membuan lalang-lalan tersebut kerana tidak berguna. Namun, pemilik ladang tersebut memiliki tindak balas yang berbeza terhadap situasi itu. Dia lebih bertoleransi dengan lalang tersebut dan lmembiarkannya tumbuh bersama gandum. Apakah erti perumpamaan ini bagi ktia?

Gereja dan ima komuniti kita yang melambangkan Kerajaan Allah di dunia terbentuk dari orang-orang baik (gandum) dan yang tidak begitu baik (lalang). Kita cenderung menolak lalang di antara kita. Namun, Tuhan memancarkan kasih-Nya kepada keduanya, lalang dan gandum, orang baik dan jahat, dan Dia berkata kepada kita, “Biarkan keduanya tumbuh”. Tugas kita adalah untuk bersabar dan mengasihi mereka yang kita anggap “lalang” dan memainkan peranan kita untuk membantu mereka berubah dan bertumbuh menjadi orang yang lebih baik. Tuhan adalah berbelas kasih. Oleh itu, kita juga harus berbelas kasih.

Pemansut 24:3-8; Matthew 13:24-30

“Liat ati enggau orang bukai baka Allah Taala liat ati enggau kitai.”
Bacha Injil saritu mandangka dua bengkah jerita pasal rumput enggau gandum. Rumput nya tampak baka gandum lebuh agi mansang besai. Bala orang gaji deka nyabut rumput nya laban nadai mai asil. Tang, Tuan ti empu umai nya nyaut sida ngambi meri awak ka rumput enggau gandum sama bela tumbuh datai ka maya ngetau. Nama reti jako sempama tu ba kitai?

Gerija sereta gerempong pengarap kitai ngari ka Perintah Allah Taala ba dunua kitai ti ngengkaum orang ti manah (gandum) sereta orang ti jai (rumput). Kitai sigi lalu mudah deka muai rumput ari endur kitai. Tang Allah Taala, mancar ka Pengerindu Iya atas rumput sereta gandum, atas sida ti jai enggau sida ka manah, nya kebuah Iya bejako ngagai kitai, “awak ka rumput enggau gandum nya sama tumbuh”. Tanggung pengawa kitai awak ngembuan ati liat ngagai sida ti di kumbai kitai “rumput” sereta bejalai ka pengawa ngambi sida mansang nyadi orang ti badas. Allah Taala ti Bepengasih tentu deka kasih ka kitai mega.

«玛十三:24-30»

” 对待别人要有耐心就好像天主对待我们一样”
今天的福音引用了莠子和麦子的比喻。莠子是杂草，即当它在生长的阶段很像小麦。仆人们想要删除莠子，因为它们豪无用处。不过地主对这情况有不同的反应。他对莠子更宽容并且允许它与小麦一起成长。那么这比喻对我们有什么意思？

教会和我们的信仰团体所呈现的天国在这个世界上是由好人（小麦）和不太好的人（莠子）所组成的。我们倾向于拒绝莠子在我们中间。然而天主将祂的爱照耀在莠子和小麦，好人和坏人，祂对我们说，“让他们都成长”。我们的任务是对那些我们认为是“坏人”的人有耐心和爱心，并扮演我们的角色参与帮助他们悔改和成长为更好的人。天主是仁慈的，所以我们也必须仁慈。

我怎样才能对生活中的“莠子”更有耐心？
