BUKIT PADANG – The Legion of Mary Kota Kinabalu Comitium is pleased to announce the election of Michael Wang Ho On as its new Vice President for a term of three years from 2023-2026, succeeding Catherine Ong who is ending her second term as Vice President on Nov 18.
The official handing over shall take place on Nov 17 during the council’s 301st meeting at Church of Mary Immaculate meeting room.
Michael Wong Ho On who originally hails from Tawau was the past president of Tawau Curia and has served as Chinese correspondent for the Comitium. Now settled in Kota Kinabalu, he is currently the Vice President of KK Chinese Curls Mother of God and president of Mother of Love praesidium in Sacred Heart Cathedral Kota Kinabalu.
While Catherine Ong, a long-standing member of the Legion of Mary for 51 years and an officer in the Comitium for many years, is the current president of Most Holy Name praesidium of Stella Maris Church Tanjung Aru.
A big thank you to Catherine Ong for her tireless hard work and devotion and experienced leadership at the Comitium meetings and congratulations to Michael Wong for the zeal and spirit to serve in the Comitium.
