First reading Acts 13:13-25

God has raised up one of David’s descendants, Jesus, as Saviour

Paul and his friends went by sea from Paphos to Perga in Pamphylia where John left them to go back to Jerusalem. The others carried on from Perga till they reached Antioch in Pisidia. Here they went to synagogue on the sabbath and took their seats. After the lessons from the Law and the Prophets had been read, the presidents of the synagogue sent them a message: ‘Brothers, if you would like to address some words of encouragement to the congregation, please do so.’ Paul stood up, held up a hand for silence and began to speak:

‘Men of Israel, and fearers of God, listen! The God of our nation Israel chose our ancestors, and made our people great when they were living as foreigners in Egypt; then by divine power he led them out, and for about forty years took care of them in the wilderness. When he had destroyed seven nations in Canaan, he put them in possession of their land for about four hundred and fifty years. After this he gave them judges, down to the prophet Samuel. Then they demanded a king, and God gave them Saul son of Kish, a man of the tribe of Benjamin. After forty years, he deposed him and made David their king, of whom he approved in these words, “I have selected David son of Jesse, a man after my own heart, who will carry out my whole purpose.” To keep his promise, God has raised up for Israel one of David’s descendants, Jesus, as Saviour, whose coming was heralded by John when he proclaimed a baptism of repentance for the whole people of Israel. Before John ended his career he said, “I am not the one you imagine me to be; that one is coming after me and I am not fit to undo his sandal.”’

through all ages my mouth will proclaim your truth.

and my arm shall make him strong.

My truth and my love shall be with him;

by my name his might shall be exalted.

He will say to me: ‘You are my father,

my God, the rock who saves me.’

Gospel John 13:16-20

Whoever welcomes the one I send welcomes me

After he had washed the feet of his disciples, Jesus said to them:

‘I tell you most solemnly,

no servant is greater than his master,

no messenger is greater than the man who sent him.

‘Now that you know this, happiness will be yours if you behave accordingly. I am not speaking about all of you: I know the ones I have chosen; but what scripture says must be fulfilled: Someone who shares my table rebels against me.

‘I tell you this now, before it happens,

so that when it does happen

you may believe that I am He.

I tell you most solemnly,

whoever welcomes the one I send welcomes me,

and whoever welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me.’

Reflection
Acts 13:13-25, John 13:16-20

“Whoever welcomes you, welcomes me”
“In all truth, I tell you, whoever welcomes the one I send, welcomes me, and whoever welcomes me, welcomes the one who sent me”: Let us pause a moment and allow these words of Jesus to sink into our hearts. Today, Jesus sends us out to be His presence of love in the world! Jesus identifies Himself with each one of us, and thus, the one who welcomes us welcomes Him.

Jesus trusts us so much that He calls us, with our strengths and limitations, to this mission. Through our words and actions, Jesus wants to encounter each person that crosses our paths today. Can Jesus count on us to be His presence?

Question for reflection:
How can I consciously bring Jesus’ presence to others today?

Renungan
Kisah Para Rasul 13:13-25, Yohanes 13:16-20

“Sesiapa menerima kamu, dia menerima aku”
“Aku berkata kepadamu, sesungguhnya, sesiapa menerima orang yang Ku utus, ia menerima Aku, dan barangsiapa menerima Aku, ia menerima Dia yang mengutus AKu”. : Marilah berhenti sejenak dan membenarkan sabda Yesus meresap dalam hati kita. Hari ini Yesus mengutus kita keluar untuk menjadi kehadiran cintakasih-Nya di dunia ini! Yesus menunjukkan diri-Nya kepada setiap kita dan oleh kerana itu, sesiapa menerima diri kita, menerima Dia.
Yesus amat mempercayai kita sehingga Dia memanggil kita dengan segala kekuatan dan kelemahan kita, untuk misi ini. Melalui perkataan dan perbuatan kita, Yesus ingin bertemu dengan setiap orang yang kita temui dalam perjalanan hidup ini. Bolehkan Yesus mengandalkan kita untuk menjadi kehadiran-Nya kepada orang lain?

Soalan Renungan:
Bagaimana saya dapat secara sedar membawa kehadiran Yesus kepada orang lain hari ini?

Orou raiti’, manusub i Jisus ritakau mingkual koson masauk ra kasaangan ru togom Nano ra tana’ ti! Mauligan i Jisus ra Io galama’ ra itakau ngai’, am ginio nai ra, io ondo’ mangapu ritakau no magapu Riso.
Malansan tojojo i Jisus ritakau ra mampiau Io ritakau, ngai’ ru ikang takau am katiluan, ra misi ragitio. Ralalom ru raguon an ondo’ baalon takau, masaga’ i Jisus makatuum ra ulun ondo’ mansail ra babayaan takau ra orou raiti’. Mabuli kia i Jisus malansan ritakau masauk ra kasaangan Nano?

Renungan
Kereja 13:13-25; John 13:16-20

“Barang sapa nerima kita, nerima Aku.”
“Enggau bendar Aku madah ngagai kita: barang sapa nerima orang ke dikirumka Aku, nerima Aku, lalu barang sapa nerima Aku, nerima Iya ke ngirumka Aku.”: Aram kitai sunyi enda lama lalu meri awak ka jako Jesus tu tama dalam ati kitai. Saritu, Jesus ngirum kitai nyadi tanda pengasai pengerindu Iya ba dunya! Jesus nyema Diri enggau genap iko kitai, nya kebuah barang sapa nerima kitai, nerima Iya.

Jesus ngangau kitai laban Iya arap ka kitai, nyengkaum pengering enggau penakat kitai bejadi ka pengawa Iya. Nengah jako enggau kereja kitai, Jesus deka genap iko orang ti enggau kitai betemu ulih ngelala Iya. Ulih Jesus arap ka kitai nyadi tanda Iya?

Kati aku ulih mai Jesus awak ulih di kelala orang bukai saritu?

省思
《宗十三:13-25》
《若十三:16-20》

“接纳我所派遣的，就是接纳我”
“我实实在在告诉你们：接纳我所派遣的，就是接纳我；接纳我，就是接纳派遣我來的那一位。” 让我们停顿一下并且好好的反省耶稣的这妨话。今天，耶稣派我们代表祂成为世界的爱！耶稣把我们当作祂的一份子，因此，欢迎我们也代表欢迎耶稣。
耶稣跟信任我们，因此，祂利用我们的长处和短处来完成使命。透过我们的话语和行为，耶稣要我们遇见我们生命的每个人。耶稣可以依靠我们代表祂吗？

省思题:
我要如何理性的把耶稣带到他人的生命里？
