Bapa Suci: Gereja mesti menemani pekerja di tengah-tengah ketidakamanan pekerjaan

Bapa Suci Fransiskus menghantar mesej ke mesyuarat Pergerakan Pekerja Kristian di bandar Segovia, Sepanyol, dan menggesa Gereja untuk menemani mereka yang bergelut di pinggir ekonomi.

Anggota Pergerakan Pekerja Kristian Tindakan Katolik Sepanyol (HOAC) telah berkumpul di bandar Segovia Sepanyol untuk Perhimpunan Agung ke-14 mereka, yang diadakan pada 12-15 Ogos.

Bapa Suci Fransiskus menghantar galakannya pada hari Ahad dalam mesej kepada peserta dalam mesyuarat HOAC, yang membawa tema “Membina Jambatan, Meruntuhkan Tembok: Gereja di Dunia Kerja Menenun Ikatan Persaudaraan”.

Kerja yang diasaskan dalam maruah manusia

Dalam perutusannya, Bapa Suci menyatakan penghargaannya atas dedikasi organisasi untuk membantu Gereja menemani umat Katolik dalam tenaga kerja.

Mengimbas kembali kata-katanya dalam Evangelii Gaudium, beliau menyatakan bahawa kerja adalah “komponen penting dalam kehidupan dan maruah manusia”.

“Bekerja bukan sekadar aktiviti yang produktif, tetapi cara kita bekerjasama dengan Tuhan dalam kerja penciptaan dan menyedari diri kita sebagai manusia,” katanya.

Bapa Suci menambah bahawa tenaga kerja manusia membantu kita untuk menjadi “pencipta bersama dan mengambil bahagian dalam membina dunia yang lebih adil dan persaudaraan.”

Perpaduan Gereja di tengah-tengah pengangguran

Bapa Suci Fransiskus terus memikirkan misi Gereja untuk berjalan dengan orang ramai dalam semua aspek kehidupan mereka, termasuk penyertaan dalam tenaga kerja.

Dia berkata Gereja terutamanya perlu menemani orang yang berada di pinggiran dunia pekerjaan.

“Komitmen kita tidak boleh terhad kepada ucapan atau tindakan terpencil,” katanya, “tetapi mesti menjadi saksi berterusan perpaduan dan sokongan kepada orang dalam situasi buruh dan kelemahan sosial.”

Misi Gereja dengan pekerja, tambahnya, termasuk dekat dengan orang yang kehilangan pekerjaan atau mengalami kekurangan peluang pekerjaan.

Orang Kristian tidak boleh terus berkurung di dalam dinding bangunan gereja kita, dia menggesa, menjemput semua orang untuk mendekati mereka yang memerlukan secara aktif dan mencari “penyelesaian yang adil dan berkekalan” kepada ketidakamanan pekerjaan.

Menjalin ikatan persaudaraan

Bapa Suci mengeluh hakikat bahawa pengangguran terus menjejaskan banyak keluarga, berkata Gereja memikul tanggungjawab untuk berdiri dalam solidariti dengan “orang yang menghadapi keputusasaan dan diketepikan kerana pengangguran.”

Dia mengakhiri mesejnya dengan menggalakkan ahli-ahli Tindakan Katolik untuk “menjalin ikatan persaudaraan, membawa cahaya Injil, dan membina masyarakat yang lebih adil.

“Saya menggesa anda untuk terus menjadi umat Tuhan di tengah-tengah kehidupan bekerja, dan untuk terus menganyam kisah cinta dan perpaduan,” tutup Bapa Suci Fransiskus. “Gereja memerlukan kamu.”

Perhimpunan Agung ke-14 HOAC

Lebih 800 orang dari 41 keuskupan di seluruh Sepanyol menghadiri Perhimpunan Agung di Segovia.

Para peserta, termasuk ketua biskop, uskup dan ahli pergerakan itu, sedang bermesyuarat untuk membincangkan dan membuat keputusan berhubung cabaran, keutamaan dan cadangan HOAC untuk enam tahun akan datang.

Pergerakan ini berusaha untuk mencerminkan pandangan Kristian tentang realiti semasa menghadapi cabaran yang dihadapi Gereja dalam dunia yang dibebani oleh kelesuan sosial, ketidaksamaan, dan ketidakadilan yang secara khususnya menjejaskan tenaga kerja.

Para peserta, termasuk uskup agung, uskup dan ahli pergerakan itu, sedang bermesyuarat untuk membincangkan dan membuat keputusan berhubung cabaran, keutamaan dan cadangan HOAC untuk enam tahun akan datang.

Pergerakan ini berusaha untuk mencerminkan pandangan Kristian tentang realiti semasa menghadapi cabaran yang dihadapi Gereja dalam dunia yang dibebani oleh kelesuan sosial, ketidaksamaan, dan ketidakadilan yang secara khususnya menjejaskan tenaga kerja.
