Paus Francis mengakhiri perjalanan bersejarah di Mongolia

ULAANBAATAR – Paus Francis mengakhiri lawatan bersejarahnya ke Mongolia pada 4 September dengan merasmikan ‘House of Mercy,’ tempat perlindungan gelandangan dan simbol komitmen Gereja untuk menghulurkan bantuan kepada mereka yang memerlukan.

Kemudahan pelbagai guna ini akan menyediakan penjagaan kesihatan kepada golongan yang paling memerlukan — gelandangan, mangsa penderaan domestik dan pendatang — di ibu negara Mongolia, Ulaanbaatar.

Dua jam kemudian, pada 11.40 waktu tempatan, Paus telah diiringi ke pesawat khususnya oleh Menteri Luar Mongolia, Battsetseg Batmunk.

Dalam ucapan tulus kepada pekerja amal di House of Mercy, Francis melahirkan rasa terima kasih yang mendalam atas sambutan hangat yang diterimanya semasa berada di sana.

Dia sekali lagi memuji dedikasi berterusan Gereja untuk tindakan amal, menggariskan empat tiang asas  – persekutuan, liturgi, pelayanan, dan kesaksian yang telah menonjolkan identitinya sepanjang sejarah.

Rumah Kerahiman, Paus berkata “berdiri sebagai ungkapan konkrit kepedulian terhadap orang lain, yang merupakan ciri khas masyarakat Kristian; kerana di mana kita mendapati sambutan, keramahan dan keterbukaan kepada orang lain, kita menghirup “haruman Kristus” (lih. 2 Kor. 2:15).”

Beliau bersungguh-sungguh menggalakkan sukarelawan untuk memberikan perkhidmatan tanpa mementingkan diri, menekankan kuasa transformatif tindakan sedemikian bukan sahaja pada individu tetapi juga pada masyarakat secara keseluruhan.

“Rumah Kerahiman ini bertujuan untuk menjadi titik rujukan untuk pelbagai kerja amal … Tempat perlindungan yang selamat, dalam erti kata lain, di mana orang boleh mencari telinga yang mendengar dan hati yang memahami,” tegas Francis.

Beliau berkata seperti banyak inisiatif lain yang disokong oleh institusi Katolik, usaha baharu ini juga istimewa, “kerana di sinilah Gereja tertentu yang menjalankan kerja itu, menyelaraskan usaha semua kumpulan misionari, sambil mengekalkan identiti tempatan yang autentik, sebagai sebuah yang tulen. ungkapan Wilayah Apostolik secara keseluruhan.”

“Saya sangat menyukai nama yang anda pilih untuk memberikannya: Rumah Kerahiman. Kedua-dua perkataan itu mengandungi definisi Gereja, yang dipanggil untuk menjadi rumah di mana semua orang dialu-alukan dan boleh mengalami kasih yang lebih tinggi yang menggerakkan dan menggerakkan hati: kasih Bapa yang lembut dan penuh kasih sayang, yang menghendaki kita menjadi saudara dan saudara perempuan di rumahnya,” kata paus.

Paus Francis juga menekankan kepentingan masyarakat yang pelbagai berkumpul untuk memberikan sokongan penuh belas kasihan, melangkaui sempadan agama untuk kebaikan bersama.

Bercakap di Rumah Kerahiman, paus berkata, “Kemajuan sebenar sesebuah negara tidak diukur dengan kekayaan ekonomi, apalagi dengan pelaburan dalam kuasa ilusi persenjataan, tetapi oleh keupayaannya untuk menyediakan kesihatan, pendidikan dan pembangunan yang integral. daripada rakyatnya.”

Dia berkata dia ingin menggalakkan rakyat Mongolia, “yang terkenal dengan kemurahan hati dan keupayaan untuk berkorban diri, untuk terlibat dalam kerja sukarela, meletakkan diri mereka untuk berkhidmat kepada orang lain.”

“Di sini, di Rumah Kerahiman, anda mempunyai ‘tempat latihan’ yang sentiasa terbuka, di mana anda boleh melaksanakan keinginan anda untuk kebaikan dan melatih hati anda,” Francis meyakinkan mereka. – UCA News
