CJC on Laudato Si’ Week 2022: ‘Listening and Journeying Together’

By Creation Justice Commission, Archdiocese of Kota Kinabalu

May 11 2022

LAUDATO SI’ WEEK 2022, to be held on 22-29 May 2022, will mark the seventh anniversary of Pope Francis’ landmark encyclical on creation care. This global celebration will unite Catholics to listen and respond together to the cry of creation, rejoice in the progress we have made in bringing Laudato Si’ to life, and intensify our efforts through the dynamic Laudato Si’ Action Platform, walking the “Synodal” path.

Laudato Si’ Week 2022 will mark the fourth global Laudato Si’ Week celebration (2016, 2020, 2021).But for the first time since 2016, the event will feature in-person events, an important milestone in the world’s efforts against the COVID-19 pandemic.

The theme for the week is “Listening and Journeying Together.” The eight-day global event will be guided by the following quote from Pope Francis’ Laudato Si’: “Bringing the human family together to protect our common home” (LS 13).

Creation Justice Commission in the Archdiocese of Kota Kinabalu provides programs/ activities for the whole week. All are invited to participate:
