Orientasi Caritas KK: Pelayanan bukan bilangan projek tetapi kasih sayang yang dicurah

KOTA KINABALU – Caritas Kota Kinabalu telah mengadakan orientasi pertama pada 6 Mac lalu secara online yang bertujuan memperkenalkan Caritas kepada para peserta, menghidupkan kembali misi sosial gereja dan mendorong paroki untuk menubuhkan komiti Caritas di paroki masing-masing.

Seramai 100 peserta hadir iaitu para paderi dan wakil Majlis Pastoral Paroki dari 19 buah paroki di Keuskupan Agung Kota Kinabalu, ketua-ketua Komisi dan wakil-wakil dari organisasi / agensi kerajaan dan bukan kerajaan yang beragama Katolik. 

Orentasi telah terbahagi kepada tiga bahagian berdasarkan kaedah “Melihat, Merenung dan Bertindak” iaitu kaedah yang digunakan oleh Caritas di seluruh dunia dalam melaksanakan pelayanannya.

Dalam sesi “Melihat”, para peserta melihat dua perkara di dalam hidup sebagai umat di Keuskupan Agung. Perkara pertama adalah melihat dalam diri sendiri sebagai anggota gereja, sesuai dengan visi dan misi gereja di Keuskupan Agung Kota Kinabalu. Kedua melihat apa yang telah dilakukan oleh diosis untuk memastikan Gereja melaksanakan tugasnya dalam kedua-dua perkembangan rohani dan amal kasih.  

Peserta juga diingatkan tentang tiga cabaran utama dalam Gereja yang menggugat iman umat pada masa kini seperti isu Apati dan Sekularisasi, serta tiga teras diosis yang telah diperkenalkan sebagai cara menangani cabaran iaitu ‘Menuju ke dalam, Menjadi Kecil dan Menuju ke luar’. 

Sesi pertama kemudian diikuti dengan pembentangan rumusan maklumbalas paroki mengenai isu-isu semasa yang dikenalpasti berlaku di Sabah atau di dalam lingkungan Keuskupan Agung KK.  

Di dalam sesi kedua “Menilai”, para peserta dihidangkan dengan sesi ceramah tentang Misi Sosial Gereja Gereja Katolik dari Fr Nicholas Stephen. Fr Gilbert Dompok, penasihat rohani Caritas KK kemudian menjelaskan mengenai pelayanan Caritas.   

Selepas sesi soal jawab dalam sesi kedua yang memberi pendalaman kepada peserta tentang ‘apa itu Caritas’, Fr Gilbert meneruskan sesi ketiga bertajuk “Bertindak” yang membincangkan penubuhan Caritas di peringkat Keuskupan Agung dan di paroki. 

Seterusnya pembentangan rancangan Caritas sepanjang tahun 2021 di mana paroki-paroki diharapkan dapat menubuhkan Komiti Caritas masing-masing dalam bulan April, agar rancangan-rancangan Caritas pada bulan-bulan yang seterusnya dapat dilaksanakan dengan lancar.

Sesi orientasi diakhiri dengan kata-kata penutup dari Uskup Agung John Wong.  Dalam ucapannya, beliau berkata sebagai gereja dalam dunia, setakat berdoa sahaja tidak cukup. Sebagai Kristian, banyak lagi hal yang kita perlu lakukan untuk kebaikan bersama di negara kita.

Uskup Agung mengingatkan bahawa Misi dan Visi Diosis KK adalah untuk membangun kerajaan Tuhan bukan sahaja di kalangan komuniti beriman tetapi juga di tengah-tengah masyarakat kita yang ditandai dengan keadilan, kedamaian, kebenaran dan kasih sayang.    

Uskup berkata selagi ada orang yang tertindas selagi itu kerajaan Tuhan belum lengkap. Pelayan-pelayan Caritas menyatakan kasih Tuhan melalui tindakan-tindakan sosial dengan menjangkau orang-orang yang miskin, memerlukan dan tertindas.

Berbeza dengan pertubuhan-pertubuhan NGO dan badan-badan kerajaan, Caritas mungkin tidak mempunyai sumber yang banyak dari segi material tetapi yang paling penting dalam pelayanan kita adalah melayani dengan penuh kasih. Kekuatan kita terletak dalam iman dan perhubungan dengan Tuhan. 

Uskup Agung turut mengutip kata-kata dari Santa Ibu Teresa dari Kolkata yang berkata “Bukan berapa banyak yang kita lakukan tetapi berapa banyak kasih sayang yang kita curahkan ketika kita melakukan atau berbagi.”

Uskup berkata pelayanan bukan dinilai dalam bilangan projek, tetapi berapa nilai kasih sayang yang kamu berikan dalam pelayanan yang kamu lakukan. Sebelum melakukan perancangan, lebih baik dimulakan dengan doa supaya dapat menyediakan diri untuk “Menuju ke luar” dan melakukan kehendak Tuhan dalam hidup kita. 

Orentasi berakhir pada jam 1.00 petang dengan berkat dari Bapa Uskup Agung. Sesi Orientasi dalam Bahasa Malaysia ini telah diulangi dalam Bahasa Inggeris pada 20 Mac lalu.
