KOTA KINABALU – A total of 107 teenagers from the Sunday Faith Formation Ministry received their Sacrament of Confirmation Nov 23. The Holy Mass was celebrated by Archbishop John Wong together with Sacred Heart Cathedral parish priest Fr Paul Lo and assistants Fr Russell and Fr Terans.
Archbishop Wong said to the young that they have already received the Holy Spirit during their Baptism. Through the Sacrament of Confirmation, they will receive the fullness of the Holy Spirit as a Soldier of Christ. They are also called to be a matured witness of Christ and to proclaim the Good News to others.

The prelate encouraged them to continually praying to the Holy Spirit so that they can be guided wherever they may be. They are also encouraged to do their daily reading and reflection, to open their hearts to allow themselves to bear fruits.
“The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control…” Those who are in Christ are distinguished from unbelievers in that they have been gifted with the Holy Spirit, enabling them to bear fruit.
Congratulations to all our young teenagers from the Sunday Faith Formation for their Sacrament of Confirmation.
